NO FCRA USE. This privately operated website has no affiliation with a local, state, or federal agency. Neither it nor its advertising partners offers a service for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or any other decision regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Its purpose is to identify official criminal-record resources in Sumter County, South Carolina. It is not a private investigation firm or consumer reporting agency.
1. What This Website Is
This is a private reference site, independent from government. It does not keep official criminal records, obtain records for users, perform official checks, or submit legal paperwork.
Its function is to identify Sumter Sheriff Records, the local criminal courts, SLED CJIS, the South Carolina Sex Offender Registry, and other source offices. Some pages also connect to independent search providers.
2. Rules for Using This Site
Use is conditioned on compliance with these rules. A user must not:
- Break any federal, state, or local law while using this site
- Use information you find here to stalk, harass, or threaten anyone
- Base hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions on content from this site
- Try to break into our systems or gain access you are not supposed to have
- Run bots, scrapers, or automated tools against our pages
- Do anything that slows the site down or blocks other people from using it
3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination
Information found here or through a linked tool may not be used to stalk, harass, threaten, intimidate, or discriminate against a person. South Carolina gives added force to that rule for the South Carolina Sex Offender Registry. Under S.C. Code §23-3-510, use of registry information to commit a crime can increase criminal penalties. Registry access supports lawful public safety awareness, never retaliation or vigilantism.
4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency
This website is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and does not create consumer, credit, or official background reports. Its advertising partners are not presented as providers for an FCRA-regulated purpose. Information from the website or a linked tool may not be used to:
- Decide whether to hire or fire someone
- Screen potential renters or housing applicants
- Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
- Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
- Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules
A legally required official check must be obtained through the proper SLED channel or another provider authorized for that purpose.
5. No Legal Advice
General information about Sumter County records is not legal advice. Questions about how a warrant, charge, conviction, or expungement rule affects a specific matter should go to a licensed South Carolina attorney.
6. No Warranties
All material and services are provided "as is." No promise is made that:
- The information here is accurate, complete, or current at any given time
- The site will stay up and running without interruptions
- Our pages are free of errors, bugs, or security holes
- Results from our partner search tools will be thorough or accurate
Charges can be filed, changed, dismissed, sealed, or expunged, and office procedures can shift. Gaps may result. No statement here is an official statement from a court, sheriff, SLED, or another agency.
7. Third-Party Services and Links
Links can lead to sheriff pages, courts, state agencies, legal resources, and outside search services. Those destinations are independently operated. We do not control their content, data practices, fees, availability, or terms, which should be reviewed before use.
8. Intellectual Property
Unless another owner is identified, text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Sumter County Criminal History or its content partners. They may not be copied, distributed, modified, or adapted without prior written permission.

These terms may be revised. A revision takes effect when the new version is posted on this page.
13. Cutting Off Access
Access may be limited or ended at any time, for any reason, without advance notice.
